You can find this kind of centers online or through your yellow pages. Some may be within driving distance but some rural places may not have them or not as many. Some of them are run by organizations or part of a medical institutions and can be covered by medical insurance but you have to inquire first as most of the time it is an out of your own pocket finances.
Alcohol treatment centers have four week programs but you may find others who have a different length of treatment time.
The good thing about alcohol treatment centers is that you can voluntarily go in there. Congratulations! That means you are on your first step to become successful in your battle. But unfortunately for others, they have been caught drinking and driving or committing a crime while under the influence of alcohol. Going to a treatment center may be part of their sentence plus jail time, fines and/or community service.
