Public School Education
June 28th, 2009I attended a public college for my complete life and had a few friends whose parents sent them to non-public schools.
My hubby went to a private college too.
When we first discovered that we were pregnant, I would have liked to start saving money for a faculty fund.
Now, our girl is 4 years old and we should pick a choice as to if or not we’ll milk public education or pay. Even more unlucky is the proven fact that our incomes and debt will not let us afford that option.
In knowing all of this, we moved to a college district which has a name for having a superb reputation with reference to public education. The faculty taxes are higher in the district but still more cost-effective than non-public schools. And , if we are having to go the general public education route,. I need her to be in the best of districts. If I need to drive an additional twenty mins to work, so be it. What has always bothered me though , is that even if you do opt to send your youngsters to a personal faculty, you’re still needed to pay taxes for public education. All of a sudden you make a decision to pay a good sum every year for selecting a personal college and still need to pay a tidy sum in public education college taxes. Essentially , if you do not exploit public education, you are paying those taxes for totally nothing. I do not know why I used to have such an issue with public education. I’m of the opinion that I liked the concept that non-public colleges have more liberties to teach and implement what they desire. I liked the idea of my child having classes that teach faith and values. Sure, it’s a parent’s responsibility to teach those subjects, but it never injures to learn them in a study room setting as well. Being surrounded by other scholars who are learning the same values helps to further enstill them into their minds. Naturally, all the advantages of a personal education come with a wide price ticket. I am personally selecting public education, but I did my homework to find the most credible college district.
